In 2010, KEFTARO embarked on an extensive branding project for Biodeslys, a French personal care company specializing in natural beauty products. This comprehensive project involved creating dual brand identities – one for their main brand “Biodeslys” and another for their Arabic-inspired line “Shaghaf” (meaning “Passion” in Arabic), along with complete packaging solutions for both product ranges.
Brand Identity Development:
Our team crafted two distinct yet harmonious logos that reflected both the company’s French heritage and its connection to natural, Middle Eastern ingredients. Each logo was thoughtfully designed to embody the essence of natural beauty while maintaining their unique brand personalities.
Packaging Design – Soap Collections:
The packaging design for both soap collections showcased our attention to cultural fusion and luxury presentation. We incorporated traditional Arabic patterns into the decorative gift boxes, creating an authentic artisanal feel. Each set was complemented by a natural sponge, enhancing the organic bathing experience. The product range included:
– Pure olive oil soap
– Bruit olive oil soap
– Lavender soap
– Damascus rose petals and essence soap
– Special goat milk formula for sensitive baby skin
Packaging Design – Shampoo Lines:
For the shampoo packaging, we developed unique hand-drawn illustrations that told a visual story for each variant:
- Olive Shampoo: Featured an intricate design of two birds among olive branches and flowers, inspired by classical Arabic artistic traditions
- Seven Oils Shampoo: Showcased a heart motif integrated with traditional Arabic calligraphy and patterns, reflecting the oriental essence of the mountain-sourced Syrian ingredients
The entire design approach celebrated the marriage of natural ingredients with traditional Middle Eastern beauty secrets, while maintaining a premium French cosmetic brand aesthetic. The packaging designs not only protected and presented the products but also narrated the story of their natural origins and cultural heritage.
